Explore Eagle Creek’s Bear Overlook Trailhead Hike with Indy Land Stewardship

Get an early look at one of Indy Parks’ newest hiking trails on the west side of Eagle Creek Park. The Bear Overlook trailhead provides new access to some of the best hiking in Indianapolis. This sneak preview of the new West Side Trail complex will feature scenic reservoir views, spring wildflowers, and high-quality woods. Join an Indy Land Stewardship ecologist for a guided hike of the South loop trail and learn about the new trail and conservation in the park. This hike (and parking) is fully accessible and is free, but advanced registration is required for entrance to the park. Loop trail is 0.7 miles with an easy grade followed by optional walk to observation deck or hiking on your own. This program is a partnership between the Indianapolis Greenways Partnership and Indy Land Stewardship.
