Walk With a Dietitian on the Fall Creek Greenway- Thanksgiving Edition

Thanksgiving is here and the rest of the holidays are right around the corner. We can help you get started with staying active and eating healthy over the holidays. Join us for a casual pre-Thanksgiving stroll on the Fall Creek Greenway with a Dietitian from the Marion County Department of Public Health. There will be friendly conversation and a discussion about strategies for staying healthy over the holidays.  Walking is one of the most popular forms of exercise worldwide. It doesn’t require expensive equipment or special skills, and it provides a wide range of health benefits. Even small walks have been shown to improve cardiovascular health, type 2 diabetes, depression and a whole range of other health issues. In addition to developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, walking is a great opportunity to get outdoors and explore Indy’s greenways. A MCPHD dietitian will lead this walk and facilitate a conversation on staying active eating healthy over the holidays. This program is free and appropriate for all ages. Pre-registration is recommended to make sure we can share updates or cancellations in the event of bad weather. We hope you will join us as we kick off the holidays on the Fall Creek Greenway!
